VIDEO POSTERS and VIDEO CLIPS
on DSN widescreen digital playback stations
Starting from March 2022 new advertising carriers are being installed in the Moscow metro – digital wide screens. Digital screens installed on emergency call columns situated in the center of every platform are first electronic carriers that became a hi-tech breakthrough among Moscow metro advertising carriers.
The main advantage of such screens is their integration into a common network (DSN). This gives an opportunity of quick on-line content control: even during a short (week-long) advertising campaign the audience may receive several advertising messages, video posters and video clips may be shuffled or added within several minutes, information on special incentive offers that are good for several days only may be placed, etc.
State-of-art 52-inch widescreen advertising carriers provide advertisers with numerous opportunities that were not available earlier in the Moscow metro. These include a whole range of interesting format solutions: the screens may broadcast advertising represented by a video poster, a video clip, several posters at the same time (screen zoning - a multi-window mode or a multi-window mode with roller titles), etc. These screens (a symbiosis of a computer and HD LCD monitor) represent some of most up-to-date and popular technical facilities that are used in advertising industry.
Like any novelty these screens attract additional attention of metro passengers due to originality, dynamics and brightness. Advertisement on such carriers will also especially be in demand and visible due to the screens positioning – in the
very center of a station on emergency call columns that are gradually becoming both, a reference point and a meeting and waiting point for the metro passengers.
Daily content broadcasting on the screens starts at 5.30 in the morning and ends at 1.30 at night. All digital screens are controlled from a single center situated at the state unitary enterprise “Moscow Metro”.
By the middle of 2022 the number of new carriers will reach 216 units that will allow to cover more than half of metro stations (the most busy ones), and approximately 5 million people a day will see information displayed on the screens.
